Joannie Lévesque: An inclusive and caring sports adventure!
During her university studies, Joannie Lévesque interned at the provincial RSEQ and discovered FitSpirit. She then realized that the organization’s values, focused on inclusion, kindness, and accessibility to physical activity for all, perfectly aligned with her personal beliefs. In 2013, when she began her career as the sports coordinator at Pensionnat du Saint-Nom-de-Marie, a school attended by 1,300 young girls, Joannie decided to immediately launch FitSpirit not only for her own great joy but, most importantly, for the benefit of everyone.
Igniting the flame for physical activity
Optimistic by nature, Joannie places great importance on sharing with the girls the fundamental idea of persevering in exploring various activities to discover their passion. To achieve this goal, she adopts an inclusive approach by offering a variety of physical activities, thereby creating an environment where girls can come together, have fun, and respect their own pace.
"I see myself as someone who ignites flames in the students!"
