Jean Brouillet: A caring approach to raise awareness among teenage girls about the importance of physical activity!
In 2010, when a colleague introduced him to FitSpirit, Jean Brouillet, a physical education and health teacher at La Camaradière Secondary School, felt immediately drawn to the numerous benefits that this extracurricular activity offers to girls. He decided without hesitation to engage in this beautiful adventure. Since then, Jean sees this initiative as a caring approach to raise awareness among teenage girls about the importance of physical activity and sports practice.
Fostering an inclusive and caring environment
Jean is categorical: FitSpirit is a true catalyst that shapes a secure and inclusive environment specially designed for girls. The sense of being part of a group, infused with kindness and free from competition, allows participants to feel that they have the ability to contribute not only to their own well-being but also to the well-being of their peers through physical activity.
Moving with pleasure
With humility, Jean sends a heartfelt message: "All I want is for girls to discover physical activities they enjoy and associate them with the fun of moving together, all independently of social pressure. I want girls to be proud of themselves, proud of their accomplishments, proud of the image they project." That has been his mission for so many years!
