Catherine Latulippe: Creating positive experiences in physical activity!
Inspired by one of her colleagues who introduced her to the benefits of FitSpirit, Catherine Latulippe, a French teacher in 1st grade at Bromptonville Secondary School, decides to embark on this experience. She immediately finds genuine pleasure in it; a pleasure that has persisted since 2014!
An invitation to self-kindness
Catherine's message is clear: she wants girls to feel good in their bodies, accept themselves as they are, believe in their abilities, and most importantly, enjoy moving without competition. Over time, Catherine has learned to understand her own limits in sports, and that's what she also wants to convey to the girls. She advocates for self-respect: yes, they can push themselves, but they also need to respect their limits. Catherine never hesitates to encourage a participant to embrace their own pace by, for example, suggesting walking instead of running.
"FitSpirit has always been successful. It's the activity at school that resonates the most with girls. It's truly a beautiful achievement that I am very proud of!"
