Pear and chocolate energy bites

For chocolate lovers, here is a recipe of energy balls that will make you happy! You'll taste the subtle flavour of pear.

Ingredients

  • 375 mL (1½ cups) quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 125 mL (½ cup) pear compote
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) flax seeds
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) honey
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) chocolate chips
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp.) cocoa powder

 

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients.
  2. Shape the energy bites with your hands by pressing the mixture together and then rolling it between your palms.
  3. Place the energy bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight.
