FitSpirit is offering two new free events this year to introduce winter activities to teenage girls.

POP Winter will take place on:

  • Friday, February 16, 2024, at Mont-Saint-Bruno National Park (SÉPAQ)
  • Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Mont-Tremblant National Park, Diable sector (SÉPAQ)

 

Limited spots! FitSpirit partner schools have until Wednesday, January 24, to mention their interest by filling out the form they can find in their portal. A draw will be conducted among all those schools, and the winning schools will be notified on Friday, January 26.

POP Winter at Mont-Saint-Bruno National Park 

Participants will engage in two activities from the following:

  • Cross-country skiing
  • Snowshoeing
  • Snowskating
  • Fatbiking

Please note that the number of spots for each activity is limited.

POP Winter at Mont-Tremblant National Park

Participants will engage in two activities from the following:

  • Cross-country skiing
  • Snowshoeing
  • Snowskating
  • Snow yoga
  • Long snowshoe hike with dinner in a shelter (counts as 2 activities)

Please note that the number of spots for each activity is limited.

Participants will also take part in some free time activities and a fun dance party!

INCLUSIONS

  • Access to the park
  • Sports equipment for activities
  • Animation of activities
  • Special activity at the end of the day

EXCLUSIONS

  • Transportation
  • Lunch and snacks for participants
  • Warm clothing for outdoor play

EVENT SCHEDULE

From 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM

9:30 AM: Site opens, and buses arrive
10:00 AM: Grand gathering
10:15 AM: First activity
11:15 AM: Second activity
12:00 PM: Lunch for Group A / Free activity for Group B
12:45 PM: Lunch for Group B / Free activity for Group A
1:30 PM: Entertainment and dance
2:00 PM: Bus departure

Feel free to leave whenever it suits you. The event will take place under the sun or under the snow! The event will be canceled in case of extreme weather (e.g., freezing rain).

WHAT TO BRING

Checklist to make sure you won't forget anything

  • A reusable water bottle already filled and/or a thermos with a hot drink
  • Lunch that doesn't need to be reheated and snacks
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and a spare set. This event takes place 100% outdoors, except during the lunch period. Plan your clothing accordingly: warm coat, snow pants, hat, neck warmer, mittens, etc.
  • Comfortable warm boots

 

We recommend that school leaders also bring:

  • A small first aid kit for minor injuries, including blister bandages
  • An up-to-date list of participants.*

All sports equipment will be provided.
