The funds raised will enable even more teenage girls to be active for life by creating more non-competitive multisport teams in Quebec high schools.

Our champions supporting Fitspirit

As part of this fundraising campaign, nine sports personalities have taken on the challenge of trying a new sport to demonstrate that it's possible to have fun while trying new physical activities!

« Everyone would love to be good right from the start, but I realize that we learn so much faster when we're having fun! I think that's the key to enjoying a physical activity! »

- Laurence St-Germain, alpine skier

« We realize that trying new sports can be scary because we may not be good at them right away, and we fear being judged. We just need to remind ourselves that we don't have to be professional athletes in everything we do, and that's perfectly okay! »

- Justine, Chloé and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe, freestyle skiers and FitSpirit mentors

« I'm not a champion, and I have fun! I'm conviced that sports are for everyone! All it takes is discovering a physical activity that we enjoy, even if we're not the best! »

- Anabelle Guay, the adventurer

« I dream of all girls having fun, feeling strong, beautiful, and 100% present when they engage in physical activity. To me, true success is all about feeling good! »

- Kim Gingras, professional dancer and FitSpirit mentor

« My favorite sport is definitely skateboarding, and I have to skate as much as I can! I realize that engaging in other sports with my friends and family brings me so much joy, even if I'm far from being the best! »

- Annie Guglia, skateuse professionnelle

« In high school, I was afraid to try new physical activities because of the fear of being judged and not being good enough. I didn't see myself as a champion. Getting together with other girls to play and encourage each other allows us to forget or overcome these barriers and truly engage in sports! »

- Aurélie Rivard, paralympic swimmer

« It's my first time playing tennis. It's really not easy, but I admit that I'm having fun! Time flies when you try a new sport. »

- Kristel Ngarlem, professional weightlifter
